Up to 1,000 high school students from across New York State assemble at SUNY Morrisville near the end of June each year for the American Legion Boys’ State of New York. This annual program immerses youth in citizenship, character building, leadership and our democratic system with its three branches of government.
(The COVID-19 pandemic forced the program to be canceled in 2020 and altered to a virtual Boys’ State in 2021.)
